They will not retroactively help 2,500 euros per birth

Although there have been many complaints from parents to the government for the measure to grant 2,500 euros per child born or adopted be applied retroactively to babies born from January 1 of this year, the efforts have been useless.

Yesterday, the Council of Ministers approved the measure to make the aid effective exclusively to the parents of those children born after 0.00 on July 3, 2007 and that will begin to be charged at the end of the year.

Many parents have complained through different means, they have even sent emails to the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Jesus Caldera, asking that the aid be extended to all babies born during 2007.

Although a rectification was expected until the last moment, Vice President María Teresa Fernández de la Vega confirmed yesterday that Babies born before July 3 will be left without help.

But some groupings will continue the claim. For example, the Valencian Association of Catholic Jurists announced that it will resort to the courts so that the aid is retroactive.

Although I do not consider that it is the solution to the problems of birth in Spain, I regret those who do not touch them and I congratulate those who do, who can consult in our blog what they should do to make effective the help that will begin to be paid in December 2007.
