Highlights in Babies and more: August 21-27

Today Monday, as every week, we bring you a summary with the highlights of the week, marked by new news about vaccination, interesting research on the benefits of breastfeeding and articles of general interest on varied topics.

One of the most important news we had this week has been that the meningitis B (Bexsero) vaccine can be purchased at pharmacies on October 1 ... and although Health continues to fall short, it is a great step in the fight against this disease.

Breastfeeding, as always, occupies an important place in our news and this week we met two very interesting studies: the first concluded that breast milk has natural components that increase memory, while the second suggests that mothers who practice colecho and breastfeeding (or 'breastsleeping', as they call it), they manage milk production better, because the baby sucks more, they sleep more, they are more likely to have a closer relationship with their baby. Finishing this issue, we tell you our experience with one of Medela's breast pumps, a super useful tool if we want to continue breastfeeding our baby after joining work again.

Do you usually kiss your children on the lips ?: This week we met the theories of a psychologist according to which this is harmful to children ... affirmation that also supports the Spanish Society of Pediatric Dentistry.

Following the topics on early childhood education, we proposed 7 plans that will make children stronger, very interesting options to give them life lessons through experiences.

Finally two decoration post: one with 17 unisex children's rooms with great ideas to redecorate the space of our kids, and the detail of a very versatile dresser that we can use from the time our baby is born and from then on until when we want .

We hope that this week that begins the contents of Babies and more you find interesting, enjoyable and practical. We will work to make it happen.
