Pregnancy is a precious stage that deserves to be lived to the fullest, but sometimes fatigue and generalized fatigue do not allow you to be one hundred percent as you would like.

1) Rest a few minutes a day

During pregnancy, the body produces more blood to send nutrients to the baby, causing the heart and organs involved to work more than usual. It is normal to feel tired, especially during the first trimester and at the end of pregnancy when the belly weight is already very noticeable.

Therefore, organize the day to take a few minutes of rest whenever you can. It's not about running a marathon throughout the day. If you can't lie down, at least sit down, put your legs up, mind blank and relax a few moments.

2) Eat more fruits and vegetables

Food is key to a healthy pregnancy. Fruits and vegetables are some of the foods that can not be missing during pregnancy because they contain antioxidants, vitamins and minerals that will fill you with energy.

Increase your consumption, ideally 5 pieces, distributed during the day. Avoid processed foods, copious foods, fats and do not abuse sugary foods, prefer light and healthy snacks in several meals throughout the day.

3) Exercise regularly

Exercise is very important to keep fit, to keep weight gain at bay, but above all to improve your mood and fill you with energy.

Practice gentle or moderate exercise regularly (two or three times a week) helps relieve the discomfort of pregnancy, increasing the level of muscle strength and optimism. If there is no medical contraindication, the exercise is very beneficial for the mother and the baby, always following the recommendations of the experts.

Exercises such as pilates, yoga, swimming, cycling or hiking are ideal for the pregnant woman, but if before pregnancy you performed more intense exercise and the doctor does not advise against it, you can continue doing it.

4) Sleep as much as you can

The nap is the most precious rest in pregnancy, but with the rhythm we carry during the day, it is not always possible.

If you can, try take a nap for half an hour in a comfortable place in the middle of the day, ideally on the left side to facilitate circulation, or rest on the sofa with your legs up, or at least take a break on your workday reducing the noise level and practicing some relaxation technique.

5) Practice sex frequently

Having sex is beneficial for both the couple and the baby. Among its benefits, practicing sex during pregnancy produces the release of endorphins, natural chemicals in the body that make us feel good and improve our mood.

In addition, it acts as a muscle relaxant, favoring rest and sleep. Both things contribute to your day-to-day vitality.

6) Breakfast like a queen

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, also in pregnancy. To start the day well, a full breakfast is essential. The first meal of the day should include cereals, dairy and fresh seasonal fruit. Reinforcing your breakfast is a good measure to combat fatigue throughout the day.

7) Flood with positive energy

Find breaks to take care of yourself and relax, to do things you really enjoy. These are moments that will make you fill with positive energy.

Ask your partner to give you a massage, take a relaxing bath with candles, listen to your favorite music, go dancing, visit friends, go for a walk, paint, do crafts ...
