Breastfeeding is a natural act and full of love. And although we frequently see the number of people who support and defend it increase, there are still many taboos when it comes to breastfeeding in public.
For this, A group in Colombia has decided to help promote breastfeeding in public spaces using something that was made to be exhibited: dummies.
Friends of breastfeeding launched an initiative in Colombia with the purpose of making breastfeeding in shopping centers cease to be the subject of negative views and comments.
The campaign consisted of place dummies that pretend to be breastfeeding. And they started big: placing them in one of the busiest shopping centers in Bogotá.

The mannequins were placed in strategic points of the Centro Mayor shopping center, who agreed to join the movement to ensure that all moms in Colombia can breastfeed peacefully within their facilities.
@victoriassecret is already part of the #AmigosDeLaLactancia for a tolerant country with breastfeeding in public.

Next to each dummy they placed a sign that reads: "We support our shopping center so that it becomes a place where moms can breastfeed freely".
The initiative had such a positive response that more shopping centers have already joined, declaring 100% breastfeeding friendly.
We are already many #amigosdelalactancia that we want breastfeeding-friendly places in public so that all moms can feed their babies when and where they need it.

There are already many stores that are supporting the #amigosdelalactancia initiative and this April 25 @parquelacolinacc will be declared 100% breastfeeding friendly. Do not miss it!

The initiative has already been replicated in more shopping centers, even in other Colombian cities. Also, on the Friends of Breastfeeding website, you invites people to run the mall they frequent so that they are also a "breastfeeding friend".

I personally think a great campaign to promote breastfeeding in public, hopefully it will continue to increase and we will soon be able to see it in other countries.
