Breastfeed Twins

One of the concerns of the mothers of twins is whether they will be able to feed the two babies with breast milk and if they will be able to organize. But don't worry, many women have survived the breastfeeding twins.

With two babies to breastfeed you will do nothing but "give the tit" all day, especially the first weeks that the demand of babies is more frequent and until a routine has been created.

As for the amount of milk, any woman is trained to satisfy two babies whenever there is stimulation for milk production. That is, the more you give them, the more you will have. It is estimated that a mother can produce two liters of milk daily.

It is best that you establish a flexible feeding routine in which you can breastfeed both at the same time. If one is hungry before the other, take the opportunity to put both to the chest. In this way the less hungry baby will accommodate the other's schedule. If you alternate first one and then the other, you will not have time for anything, almost not even sleeping and it will become a somewhat tiring routine, although with organization it is not impossible.

As with a baby, you should alternate the breast so that the same baby does not always take it. If you don't remember, you can write it down or rotate them every 24 hours.

Find a comfortable position for all three. With ingenuity and the help of pillows (there are some on the market special for breastfeeding) you can try several positions until you find the right one to feed babies comfortably.
