European project to detect chemical contaminants in food

The tragedy of contaminated milk in China that has come to affect one in 4 babies has not left the rest of the world indifferent. Before the possibility that the lack of control can play a trick on them, and we want to believe that also for greater tranquility of European consumers, the CONffIDENCE project for the detection of chemical contaminants in food.

In the initiative, 10 countries work together with the objective of detecting substances such as pesticides, organic pollutants, pharmaceuticals, antibiotics, heavy metals or shellfish toxins in food.

As future dads and as dads we are interested that the foods we consume are absolutely safe and that they do not affect in any way the development of the baby in gestation or the children in full growth.

Of course, it is terrible that he reacts at the cost of the misfortune of others, but at least the case of China has put the batteries to European organizations. The procedures to be used seem very fast and effective. Hopefully more emphasis will be placed on products for the little ones so that consumers will feel more protected.
