The children at the end of the list will be the adults who buy before

The initial letter of the first name of the children marks the place where they are positioned, in alphabetical order, on the children's classification lists (the class list, for example). Those whose first letter of the last name is the last of the alphabet are those who are always, everywhere, named last and, although it might seem that this has no consequence for children, it has been observed that it is not so.

Apparently, those who are part of the last positions on the list respond before the opportunities to buy products They want to acquire and even tend to buy faster.

These conclusions have come thanks to a study conducted in the US that will be published in the magazine Journal of Consumer Research. Researchers have stated the following in this regard:

The idea is maintained that children develop responses determined by time according to the treatment they receive. With the idea of explaining these differences, children with last names that begin at the end of the alphabet will act more quickly if their last name does not have to do, they will be "early buyers."

Similarly, children whose last names begin with one of the first letters of the alphabet are so used to being the first that when individual buying opportunities appear they take it more calmly, proving to be "late buyers".

Observing the behavior of the adults who were at the end of the lists, either before a sale of liquidation, or simply buying in the market, the tendency of these people is to always try to secure the first places in a row.

Undoubtedly it is a study with little impact and practicality on a personal level, although very curious to walk valuing people you know according to their initial last name. On a practical level, I suppose it is more useful for businesses, which will look for people “at the end of the list” to offer them “unique” opportunities.

Perhaps the ideal will be that in class, from time to time, begin to name the children by the end, so as not to relate the initials of the last name to being the first or the last.
