"A new motherhood", the book of which I am co-author, is presented in Madrid

“A new motherhood” It is a book published by Ob Stare that I already told you about when it was published and I did it with special pride and emotion, because I am one of its authors along with the rest of my companions of The Tribe 2.0. Friday morning It is presented in Madrid, in the Canary Space that is located on Calle Alcalá number 91. And I would love to meet, with that occasion, our readers.

But before and from here, I want to share with you what this book means to me.

This book, with its beautiful cover, with all that infinite love of conscious mothers, is much more than a set of stories and reflections of women: it is a manual for revolutionaries.

A few days ago I heard the great Punset explain that we live in a society with the advances of the 21st century, the school of the 19th century and the mentality of the darkest times of the Middle Ages and barbarism in full bloom. A society that can leap into a new consciousness, but remains violent and ignorant, superstitious and wild.

Yes, it is true, our technology, medicine, research, engineering are amazing ... and make us think that we have evolved into a more advanced society because of that, but these changes, for most, are only superficial and the change of consciousness is delayed.

School education remains nineteenth century. A teacher of 150 years ago, except for classroom computers, would not find many changes in the school or in the system, knowledge areas, pedagogy or content. Committed teachers despair when they are aware that they are condemned to be a system gear and fail to give what they would like.

And yet, there are other more backward social plots: the mentality of most people in society. Democracy and rights are a colorless varnish that would easily jump, as in fact happens, causing misogyny, violence, abuse to the weakest and the prey to erupt again. War, machismo, violence, ignorance and barbarism remain underlying.

An example of current events are the cartoons of the Spanish Gynecology Society that you will undoubtedly see many. The contempt they show towards women, their patients, causes nausea.

Barbarism and machismo are still there, fueled by violence and hatred that can only have very deep roots.

Why is the human being still a wolf to man? We have grown up in a society that, under its apparent civilization and democracy, believes in the fiercest social Darwinism, which extols the competitiveness of the strong, which demands blind obedience to the rules so as not to be a failure, which rewards the human being, which exalts parenting methods that harm babies, which separates children from the warmth of their mothers' breast and classifies them since childhood, teaching them to obey authority and learn what others tell them they have to learn.

We are a society without mother's milk, a society of births without oxytocin. A society where children fall asleep crying alone in their cribs. A society that does not listen to the language of love.

A society that does not rise against hunger, war or poverty. A society in which violence continues to be exercised against those who cannot defend themselves.

And I repeat my question Why is man still a wolf to man?

The emotional abandonment, the violence, the ignorance of the fundamental needs of the children, the rupture of the bond with their mothers, everything reproduces that seed of the violence that will sprout, without a doubt, again and again if we do not change the base on the Let life settle.

The circle of violence is reborn generation after generation and we can only remove it when we go to the root: the upbringing, and let's make this revolution, the most necessary, which explains the failure of all past revolutions.

If we don't change the way we raise our children we can't change the world. Neither revolutions, nor organizations, nor political parties, nor laws, nor marches, nor strikes, nor reforms, nor religions, nor utopias, nothing will defeat war, ignorance and poverty if we do not change the basis on which people grow : the upbringing.

That's why this book is a manual for revolutionaries, those of a revolution without left or right, a revolution for fathers and mothers. Because we are going to change the world by changing the way we raise our children. And this time there will be no going back.

That's why I encourage you to read “A new motherhood” and to accompany us, if possible, in his presentation in Madrid.
