School agendas with road safety tips

The Basque Country Traffic Department has decided to introduce road safety tips on school agendas of Euskadi schools.

It is, without a doubt, a very suitable platform to assimilate some important recommendations that must be taken into account when walking, or riding a bike or rollerblading on the street.

Almost unintentionally, through the illustrations of the agenda that bears the title 'Seguru jokatzen dugu! - We play it safe! ', children incorporate basic concepts about road education, being reflected in different situations in which they can be found on public roads.

The agenda includes rhyming tips such as:

  • Never cross in front of the bus, take your precautions; The safest is undoubtedly the crosswalk.
  • Green traffic light! I look to one side and the other side and then step carefully.
  • Go to the parrot, do things well, that exits and entrances in garages can sometimes be very dangerous.
  • Learn two recipes: "Pedestrians on the sidewalk, bike lanes, bicycles."
  • This is more than a lesson: As soon as you get in the car, first the belt.
  • Be careful and don't fail to keep the streets clean.

Teaching resources such as school agenda combined with driver education classes and parental support, they help children learn to be more respectful and responsible citizens on public roads.
