At the SEK educational institution they start working with Evernote with high school students

In this video, recorded live on Telemadrid, you can see how the pilot project with Evernote of the SEK Educational Institution has started. This is the first school in Europe that implants it after announcing the agreement in April 2012. And it is that SEK teachers have worked very hard all summer to know all the capabilities of the application and start high school with students facilitating a Very natural use in class.

What the students indicate, and the Telemadrid reporter explains correctly, is what will be the way to learn and I dare to say that it will be the one that will be imposed soon in the schools. It is about students studying, learning, solving problems at home and using classes to clarify, refine knowledge and feel autonomous in the learning process. The challenge, as Salman Khan anticipated, is that while using the teacher's advice and experiences they can expand their knowledge with the tools provided by new technologies and especially the content that circulates through them.

In the video you can see how teachers share knowledge with their students through notes, websites, exercises and useful links that can help them with classes. In turn, students can not only have their own class notes in Evernote but also share the exercises they do with their teachers. And always autonomously with the content and accessibility provided by the iPad.

Jorge Moreno is the ICT coordinator of the SEK El Castillo International School, who from this moment we invite you to come and explain to Peques and Más what the University Baccalaureate consists of using Evernote. We also invite Mercedes Redondo, who is a professor of Technology and ICT Coordinator of Baccalaureate, who has been surprised at how quickly and well they have internalized the use of Evernote both teachers and high school students, and that, in his opinion, believes that it is a tool that is working very well because it facilitates the organization and It allows students to carry everything together in one place, in this case on an iPad.

Recently we also read Meritxell Viñas to write in his TotemGuard blog a magnificent article about Evernote's capabilities that it seems to me that in the SEK they have adopted and promoted in the last six months of work with the platform, also integrating the students in that process of find, organize, classify and expand the knowledge that the application allows.

We congratulate 'Good morning Madrid', the Telemadrid program, because it has helped explain how the iPad can be used in class, how teachers become facilitators of access to knowledge and why it has presented a new very light weight backpack with access to universal content and anywhere.

And of course We congratulate the SEK Educational Institution for transparency to explain this learning method and for betting on the use of technology, with discretion, with the responsibility and knowledge of teachers and with the support of a solid brand like Evernote. And it is that from the SEK Institution they demonstrate the coherence of their speech started a couple of years ago about the "Debate to transform education".
