Serena Williams' husband shares that he wants to learn to comb his daughter better, and parents respond with advice

Nowadays it is very common to see more parents becoming fully involved and actively participating in the paternity of their children, because as we well know, the upbringing is two. But in addition to taking care of them and attending to their basic needs such as food and rest, parents are also being more participants in something in particular: the care of the hair of their children, particularly in the case of those who have daughters.

To show this, we have Alexis Ohanian, the husband of tennis player Serena Williams, who recently He shared that he wants to learn to comb his daughter better, receiving dozens of responses from other parents with advice and recommendations.

In Babies and more A single father gives free courses to other parents to teach them how to comb their daughters, and thus strengthen the bond with them

Alexis, who also likes being known as "Serena Williams' husband," is co-founder of the Reddit website and father of little Alexis Olympia. Since then, he is a very active dad, who is also involved in supporting initiatives that benefit families, how to encourage other companies to offer better parental leave.

A few days ago, Alexis posted on his Twitter account that had sent access requests to four groups on Facebook of African American or "natural" hair, as they call it in English, which is curly and porous hair, like the one that her daughter Olympia has inherited from the famous tennis player.

Just applied to join 4 private Natural Hair facebook groups. I hope they don't auto-reject my application when they see my profile photo 😂
I told them it was to keep getting better at doing my daughter's hair.

I just sent a request to join 4 Natural Hair groups on Facebook. I hope you don't self-reject my application when you see my profile picture. I told them it was to continue improving the way I comb my daughter's hair.

His intention, as he explains graciously in his tweet, is that of Learn to comb and take better care of your daughter's hair, because his hair is very different from hers, so he doesn't know much about his care and how to stylize it better.

He probably only shared a funny anecdote about fatherhood and the new things he is learning thanks to his daughter, and he did not expect the thousands of answers he would receive, among which without a doubt, there was no lack of advice and praise.

There are a ton of excellent YouTube vids; I'll bet there are also local meetups.
BUT… I'll also bet that you could go to the salon once a week with your daughter (date!) And they'll teach you.
I have two daughters and have been too reliant on YouTube.
Godspeeed!

There are many excellent videos on YouTube, I bet you can surely find some local courses. But also, you could go to the aesthetic once a week with your daughter (like a date!) And they will teach you. I have two daughters and I have relied heavily on YouTube. Good luck!

This is great. It's cool to see a dad wanting to learn more about how to care for his daughter's natural hair.

This is great. It's good to see a dad wanting to learn more about caring for his daughter's natural hair.

You are an amazing dad, and there is so much that is said in this simple gesture. This is more than hair. This is you saying I care about my little girl. Hair is typically an important thing in a girls' life. This is you showing her you value her interests.

In Babies and more15 funny illustrations capture the funny, chaotic and tender of fatherhood

But without a doubt, besides recognizing the tenderness of being a father who cares about improving for his daughter, they are the responses of other parents, sharing photographs of the hairstyles they do to their daughters, and welcoming the club of parents who love to comb them.

I'm pretty good at it. Three daughters. YouTube is your best friend!

As we mentioned at the beginning, it is currently common to see more parents become more involved in the care of their children, and as we could see in the responses to Alexis, there are many parents who take pride in sharing a special moment when combing their daughters. This is something remarkable not only because it is something nice, but because it is very positive that more is talked about and that active paternities look like something normal and usual.
