Taschen publishes The Complete Little Nemo 1905-1927 by Winsor McCay

He October 15, 1905 the first Sunday plate of Little Nemo in Slumberland, a fascinating and fantasy-filled work by the author Winsor McCay (1869-1934). Little Nemo is a fundamental, very modern work, with visual discoveries, application of perspectives, creativity and imagination and also with a way of telling new things and that it was totally conditioned by the size of the newspaper! in which it was published weekly. Little Nemo tells the story of a young boy who comes to an incredible country during his dream, Slumberland, where he runs the most incredible adventures in the company of Flip, the Imp or Dr. Pill and in the last vignette always awake! of his nightmare full of adventures Apparently each publication resumed the dream where it had been the night before allowing the series to have a structure in which McCay included secondary characters and a world of dreams called Slumberland fascinating.

Now Taschen puts on sale an extraordinary edition called The Complete Little Nemo 1905-1927 by Winsor McCay that collects, for the first time and in full color, the 549 episodes of Little Nemo. The work is presented by art historian and comic expert Alexander Braun in a prologue with many illustrations, documents and photographs of the time. Little Nemo is an adventure story, a visual experience and a sample of Winsor McCay's talent and creativity.

The creator of Nemo, Winsor McCay, was one of the key figures in the American leisure industry, especially for his revolutionary comic creations, which set the standards of narrative technique, distribution of vignettes, rhythm and other aspects of composition of the page.
