Euclides: the game is an application on the Internet to practice basic geometry using virtual ruler and compass

Of the articles that I like to report in Peques and Más are those of tools, very easy and simple, so that the kids learn things. On this occasion, and via Microsiervos, I arrive at Euclid: The Game, an entertaining way to learn geometry Basic and virtual rule and compass constructions. As I always tell my daughter the Pythagoreans, or some similar group from the Greece of those years, I imagine that they would go to the countryside and with a stick and on the earth they made geometry drawings to explain the phenomena of nature that caught their attention. And all on a plane.

The application, which can be a game, demands to be passing the tests and advancing in the difficulty levels. For now I have reached six and I hope to take time to continue moving forward. The screen shows points to act on using tools What does the game have: draw segments, semi-straight, straight, circles, angles, bisectors, etc. Concepts that should be learned correctly in primary to ensure a correct understanding in the following courses.

As Alvy comments in Microsiervos, kids can learn by practicing, playing and although memorization is fine and the most beautiful thing is needed here is understand what happens while they learn, advance and know geometry.

In my opinion this tool projected on a digital whiteboard, which I think could work, would be an added value to teaching and a challenge for children to practice in class. In any case, this application should not be missing as a learning resource on school blogs. And it is related to Geogebra, which we also talk about in Peques and Más.
