I teach you how to prepare them and you will see how easy it is to get an excellent garnish.

Ingredients for 2 children

  • An apple, 25 g of butter, a main course such as chicken fillet, chop or pork loin

How to make caramelized apple wedges easily

We start by cutting the apple into segments after removing his heart. Then we peel the segments and get to work quickly before the segments are oxidized and take a dark color. In the process we will not use added sugar, only the one that apples have naturally.

Melt the butter in the pan and put the segments on very low heat letting them cook very slowly. It will take about 4 or 5 minutes until they begin to take color. In the process, we go around each piece while the butter bubbles and the natural sugars of the apple are toasting without having to add anything.

When the apples have a nice uniform yellow color, we can raise the fire to get the beautiful golden and toasted that simulate the colors of the fries. In the meantime we can prepare other side dishes such as white rice.

At the end of the cooking, we drain the apples on an absrobente paper to remove the excess butter and we start to prepare the main dish that will serve as a garnish. Without realizing it, the elderly and the little ones they will take an extra piece of fruit without protesting.
