The 11 things about raising children that would scare the Virgin Mary if she raised her head

It has been 2015 years since the Child Jesus born and since the Virgin Mary was a mother and times have changed a lot since then to the point that one does not know if we have evolved or if we have involved. In many things we have gone forward, no doubt, but in others, which you want me to say, it gives me the feeling that we are going backwards. These are the eleven things about raising children that would scare the Virgin Mary if she raised her head.

1. Not everywhere you can breastfeed freely

Because they tell you that you can't do it there and you should go or get into the sink or because they tell you that if you want to do it you have to cover yourself, that you can bother the rest, would hallucinate seeing that time has passed and babies cannot be fed where they require it.

2. Many parents continue to beat their children to educate them

I'm sure that by then it was already done, and that some parents were perhaps much more aggressive, according to what can be read in the Bible, but hey, that more than 2,000 years have passed and it is still happening. Surely he would drop his arms and say something like "My mother, but is it that for so long they have not been able to find smarter methods of teaching children what is right and what is wrong?"

3. That many parents barely spend time with their children

Because they have to work more hours than a clock to get their house forward, because they don't have to work so much but they spend little time, because someone has told them they are better in a nursery school, because…

4. That as they do not spend time, they are filled with gifts to show them "their love"

She would attend a scene in which parents would take away the guilt of spending little time with their children giving gifts to children, who would end up giving an exaggerated value to those belongings and end up believing that this is what gives happiness, having things.

5. That many women criticize others for their way of raising their children

For how they feed them, for how they treat them, for how they care for them, for what they do, for what they stop doing, for how they speak to them, for how they don't do it, for how they take them, for how they don't take them, for being mothers who get ready, for being mothers who don't get ready, for working, for not working, for sleeping with children, for not doing so, for breathing, for not breathing ...

6. That children do not relate to animals or nature

He would be surprised to see that children know animals by cartoons, that they are caricatured, and that they learn the sound they make from the “educational applications” of tablets, but that they hardly relate to them, as they do not with nature, to the point of not appreciating it and, in many cases, not even respecting it.

7. That children do not learn according to their desire to learn, but that their heads are filled with things that do not interest them

I would be amazed that instead of putting scripture, and older children reading and commenting on what they read to awaken in them the desire to learn to decipher the letters, they are forced to read when they still don't have the interest to do it.

And I would see that instead of sending written messages to children to read them and ask them to respond, and thus learn to write, they are forced to repeat each letter 30 or 40 times mechanically and boringly, so that they know how to write it, as if no other way of teaching had been discovered in so many years.

And so with everything, filling their heads with interesting things in an obligatory way, before they have an interest in learning it, transforming them accordingly into boring things.

8. That children eat more things that are manufactured than things that are grown

I would also hallucinate to see what do we feed them. That instead of drinking milk from the cow we give them a thing called "Actimel", that instead of giving them fruit we give them "Juice", that instead of giving them bread we give them muffins, that instead of giving them a steak of meat or of fish we give them nuggets and hake bars and I would be amazed that the children of today not only eat very rare, but that many have a serious problem of overweight and obesity.

9. That children have hardly any places to run or play

He would be scared to see that the world he knew no longer exists, or at least it is barely inhabited, because people now live in gray places, full of asphalt, smoke and large buildings, where children they hardly have places to run or play, for being already dangerous. Dangerous because cities have forgotten children and their safety and dangerous because it seems that every day there is more crazy loose.

10. That even if they had them, many would not use them

And then he would see how children live in their homes and would be horrified to see that, even if they had room to run and play in the streets, many would not use them because they were abducted by tablets, consoles, teles and mobiles, until reducing the time of exercise, the time of running, of sweating, to some ratios called "Physical Education" in the school.

11. That children do not have the same opportunities in life

Something that was already happening at the time, but that continues to happen now and that would make him sad: see Children now do not have the same opportunities as each other, depending on where you are born, the family you live with, the last name you have or the school you go to.

And sure there's more

From 12 onwards I leave it to you. Surely you can think of many things that would shake the Virgin Mary to the point of seeing that in 2015 years not only have we not gone forward, but we have worsened in many things. Do you dare to continue with the list?
