Puree in cream of milk and meat for babies. Recipe

Today I want to show you a recipe that we have traditionally used in my family to start babies eating meat and start with chewing. It is a very light bechamel, or a puree in cream of milk and minced meat for babies that they love.

Basically it is done in a way similar to a croquette paste, but without using so much flour, or thickening the plate so much, so that it can be eaten in teaspoons in which the tripping of minced meat give the dish the grace and flavor. You will see how easy it is to prepare it.

Ingredients for 3 people

  • 100 g of minced meat, 600 ml of whole milk, 20 g of butter and 20 g of flour, a pinch of salt

How to puree cream of milk and meat for babies

We start by frying the minced meat in a pan. I usually have 100 g portions stored in the freezer and as soon as I put them in the heat in the pan with the butter, they crumble perfectly.

Once the meat changes color and is loose, we add the flour and let it wrap the meat. We stir for a couple of minutes and we add the milk very slowly, letting the meat with the flour absorb it before adding a splash more.

In three or four times, we will have all the milk added and it is enough to let it cook for about five to ten minutes while stirring to have a mashed milk cream with minced meat ready to serve. The texture is like a bechamel sauce or very thin croquettes paste, with a similar taste but much less thick.

Babies take it perfectly and enjoy every spoonful when they find small pieces of minced meat. You can also make the recipe with chicken, or even with fish, being an easy way to introduce this type of food without crushing them or making them porridge.
