The twins with different skin color who fall in love on social networks

They are daughters of a biracial couple, and although the chances of this happening in one in every 500 cases, little Kalani and Jarani left everyone surprised at birth with different skin color.

The twins were born in Quincy, Illinois (United States) and are now nine months old, but still falling in love with everyone with the beautiful photos that his mother shares in social networks.

How is it possible?

They are very rare cases, and although many people twist their faces when they see them, it is feasible. They are biviteline or bicigotic twins, conceived through a double ovulation of the mother. The two ovules have been fertilized by two sperm in the same cycle, therefore the gestation time is the same and the babies share the maternal uterus, although they do not share amniotic bag, and most importantly: they have different genetic load.

And how can a baby of color and another white be born? It happens when both parents have white and colored genes in their DNA. Each ovule and each sperm has a different genetic load and each one can give rise to combinations that make some features or others manifest. Fortuitously, in the cases of twins of different skin color an egg and a sperm have been linked with white genes and others with color genes.

Kalani inherited her mother's lighter complexion, Whitney Meyer, while her twin sister, Jarani, acquired her darker complexion from her father, Tomas Dean, mentioned in People.

The girls also have an older brother, Telan, 7, with a white complexion, the son of another father. Meyer is the mother of another child, Pravyn, who died drowned two years ago, when he was two years old.
