"I am your mother": the great photo of a mother Darth Vader breastfeeding her two-year-old daughter

It is what breastfeeding has, which can happen wherever and whenever. Because the tit is like this: spontaneous and natural. You ask for it, wherever you are and how you are, even if disguised as Darth Vader in full Carnival celebration.

This great photo has been shared on social networks last weekend by Elena, the mother Darth Vader who appears breastfeeding her two-year-old daughter In a small town party.

The metaphor behind the image

Why do I like the photo so much? Actually it is not just something I like, but there are many symbols behind the photo. Besides being funny, it is a very significant image.

I like it because I see the hardness of the dark side next to the sweetness of breastfeeding. I like it because I see an act that is pure love, such as breastfeeding, but also full of shadows and difficult times. I like it because it is an intimate and public moment, in the middle of the Carnival party.

I like it because the girl is two years old and continues to breastfeed without any intention of leaving, helping to normalize prolonged breastfeeding, which is still beneficial for older children. And, fundamentally, I like it because it is a na-tu-ral image. With all the letters.

"Although sometimes I weigh my own shield, there is always an access to it (her daughter) to our intimacy. Pure metaphor is thus this image."

Elena has been kind enough to allow us to share her photo (thanks thousands!) And has commented on her.

I feel that motherhood has a lot to do with the dark side, and how much it costs us to see each other there too, and how much it costs us to combine that polarity of light and shadow.

I have been breastfeeding for almost six years, since my oldest son was born and I have had photos in many places and many circumstances.

This will be one of my favorites because it integrates very well the beauty of the act with the hardness of the circumstances. I think it is necessary to talk about personal hearts in the act of maternity, which undoubtedly influence the bond and the upbringing.
