The day of Kings puts an end to Christmas, and the children return to school with the overflowing illusion, wishing to tell their friends how these holidays have passed. It has been two beautiful weeks, full of family gatherings, surprises and above all, a lot of magic!
But this year, in addition, some children will be lucky to teach their friends a very special photograph in which the silhouette of the three wise men is seen traveling through its empty street. A photo that his parents managed to throw from the window while everyone slept, and thanks to the incredible selfless help of two very special Twitter pages called Fernando and Adrián.
An altruistic gesture that went viral
Last year, Fernando (@gamusino) decided to surprise his nephews on Three Kings Day with a photo montage made with Photoshop in which its deserted street was seen at night, and the silhouette of the three Magi mounted on their camels. The children hallucinated with the image, thinking that their uncle had caught "in fraganti"to the three Wizards of the East in full work.

So this year, Fernando decided to retake that magical photograph and publish it on his Twitter account the same night as Reyes, volunteering to do this same assembly with the photos that users wanted to send.
So I put a tweet saying that whoever sent me a picture of their street, at night and empty, I put the Magi in it.

As he explains, at no time did he think his tweet would go viral the way he did and within a few minutes they had contacted dozens and dozens of people wishing they had their own assemblies so they could show them to their children.

But such was the level of requests Fernando received, that there came a time when he felt overwhelmed and had no choice but to erase the original tweet. I didn't want to leave any children without their picture the next day, so he should focus on finishing the requests that were coming to him.

At 04:00 in the morning, Fernando and Adrián concluded their work with hundreds of retouched photographs that had been sent, not only from various parts of Spain, but also from other countries in the world.

The two admit to feeling very proud of being part of this magical initiative that so many joys have brought hundreds of children, and even dare to propose to organize something "bigger" for next year, as if what they had done had not been magical enough!

The magic of social networks
I confess that when I read this precious initiative I could not repress the emotion. Many times we complain about social networks, the coldness and artificiality they transmit, and the impunity that comes from hiding behind a computer screen to say what is desired without thinking about the consequences.
Therefore, when I see the magic that human beings really can do -And even more when it is done thinking about the happiness of children- is when I realize that social networks can also be wonderful, and show us his most generous and kind face.
