Dangerous toys

They're still existing dangerous toys, some manufacturers ignore the products or chemicals with which they make some toys, these substances are highly dangerous for our children.

According to William McDonough, some companies, such as Mattel, continue to produce dolls with concentrations of toxic heavy metals, such as nickel or cadmium. The problem is that they are toys designed to sell them cheap regardless of how they affect health.

We must ensure that the toy that we buy from our children, complies with all current regulations, otherwise, they may suffer the consequences on their health. There are European figures in which we can see 47% of children allergic to these substances. In many everyday objects these substances are also present, some manufacturers only claim to be effective in the market, the damn benefit without taking into account the evil that can lead to public health.

The awareness of these manufacturers is essential, but so is our attitude, we should not value the toy for its price or its design, first of all we must verify that it is not dangerous and that it meets all the standards. In any case, we should not help these companies grow bigger, not buying their products is a way of pressure that forces them to consider changing their philosophy.

As Dolores says in W.A.T.C.H: against dangerous toys, toys should be to educate and entertain our children, without causing them any harm.
