Alain Afflelou and the Carrefour Solidarity Foundation to prevent visual problems

Up to 30% of school failure can be caused by possible vision problems. These have been the data presented by the Foundation of the Institute of Visual Sciences of Madrid. Hyperopia, myopia or astigmatism are some of the most frequent causes of this failure.

This reason is of weight and therefore we must try to make an early detection through periodic reviews of the eyes of our children. With the onset of school age, it is highly recommended that parents and teachers agree to detect these possible vision impairments, and thus prevent them from altering children's learning. For this reason Alain Afflelou and the Carrefour Solidarity Foundation promote during the month of March, in the 109 optics located in Spain and belonging to Afflelou, the detection of visual problems with a free vision check to children who wish, and whose age is between 6 and 8 years. It is already the sixth edition of this peculiar initiative to raise awareness of how important it is to detect deficiencies in the vision of children.

Although this initiative is for children aged 6 to 8 years, it is highly recommended to monitor the vision after the child reaches 4 years, since at this age it reaches 100% of vision.
