The children of the city need their space to play

There are many children who live in crowded cities with little recreational space for them, in fact there is so little, that games as popular as the ones we used to do, such as the “boat”, “thieves and police”, “the marbles” or even "jump rope", they don't usually happen anymore Perhaps in the schools yes, during the half hour of the recess and only a few, since there are less and less children who enjoy this type of games.

The game is a very appropriate way of learning and sociability that allows the child to express, relate, etc. There are many children who, if you leave them in an open space where they can play, do not know what to do, it seems that they do not know how to play or have fun. Something that has a lot to do is the society in which we live, somewhat sedentary and accustomed to other types of games, this favors that even children do not like games that require a little physical effort, such as running after another boy playing "pilla pilla".

These are powerful reasons for us to teach children to play, to enjoy other activities that help them develop physically and mentally, to interact with other children, learn to win and know how to lose, etc. Many teachers are aware of the problem of this generation and try to introduce some of the games of yesteryear in physical education classes, with the intention that they like them and once out of school they want to play again. Of course, there is still the other problem we mentioned, the lack of spaces to make this kind of games, difficult to find in large cities and where one of these spaces can be quite far from where the child lives.

A bad solution would be to let him play in the street, but given the dangers in the city it is not advisable, traffic, the influx of people, even the environment that is breathed is not suitable for playing.

Given these obstacles, it is advisable and advisable to replace this type of games with the Family weekend getaways to specialized camps for children to learn to play and enjoy with it. There are also in these camps all kinds of activities that integrate children and parents, perform all kinds of activities together, with other parents and other children.

Weekend camps, or those of summer that last longer, are really beneficial for our children and is a topic to be raised for the perfect development of the child. Of course, if for work reasons it is not possible to go on a summer camp, there is a perfect option, it is about the children's urban colonies, ideal for children between 4 and 12 years old, usually organized by the town halls of each locality and that, by a price slightly higher or lower than one hundred euros, depending on the schedule chosen or modality offered, allow parents to perform their daily activities during the morning (go to work, home care ...) while the monitors help children to Learn new concepts through recreational activities.

These urban colonies are intended for children who during the summer cannot be cared for by their parents throughout the day and reject the idea of going to traditional camps. The child enjoys the activities in the morning, enjoys the company of the parents in the afternoon and has the peace of mind that he sleeps at home with his parents.
