Born to read: promote reading from the first month of life

Born to read ("Nascuts to arrive") is a project worthy of publicizing that tries to promote the importance of children's contact with books, even since they are very few months old.

One of its objectives is to involve professionals who take care of children during their first year so that promote a taste for reading from the first month of life.

How do you get an interest in books for a baby of such a young age? Well, introducing the books in your life in a natural way, telling stories even if you can't understand the meaning. The book helps create an emotional bond between the father and the mother and the baby, as well as being a form of stimulation and contributing to the rapid acquisition of language.

As Eva told us once, it is never too early to encourage children to read. Now just by telling him a story out loud, showing him the drawings in a book and sharing a moment of reading between parents and children, the benefit is enormous.

The initiative has been three years old and has been extended by 30 Catalan libraries with the accession of 300 families. Its purposes include: no crib without a book, no baby without parents who read aloud and no child without the benefits of reading.

Of course, that the role of parents is fundamental. Therefore, every month activities are organized in libraries aimed at families interested in instilling the habit of reading among the little ones.

Undoubtedly, a good proposal for reading to enter naturally into the lives of babies.
