10 things they said they would do when they had a baby (and I haven't done it yet)

Surely many of the warnings they gave me when I was pregnant have been fulfilled. There is the wise experience of other more or less young mothers and fathers "sentencing," and on some issues they would be right. But it is clear that the magic ball that we all think we have to forecast the future of future parents It doesn't always work.

But now I take care of those things that they told me before I had my baby and that for now they have not come true. So we can see how every person, every mother, every baby, is a world and you can't always make accurate predictions ... luckily! If the same thing happened to all of us, how boring would this adventure be to be daddies ...

Surely it has all happened to us to return to friends or family and comment: "See? This has not happened as you told me!"

  • Stop traveling: "The trips are over for a little while." I have already told you here that I was in Paris with my baby, apart from other escapeditas. The priorities change and the way of working in the destinations, but the trips have not disappeared.
  • Put the baby on the phone So they hear their noises on the other side. I've always been desperate to do it with me, for the simple reason that ... at that moment they shut up. None of my friends can "accuse me" that now I do it with them.
  • Stop sleeping at a stretch… during years. It is true, but in my case only during the first months. Fortunately, my baby sleeps great and although he has nights and nights, it is now customary for everyone to sleep without frights at night.
  • Put ties on his head to my baby: "You will also put bows on your head." I'm still waiting for her hair to grow.
  • Stop writing in blogs: "Forget the Internet." Here is the proof that it has not been met.
  • Stop napping. Well, we are already getting it ...
  • Watch TV at night. Well, this point I imagine is linked to not sleep at a stretch. At the moment, and since the cinema has not yet stepped on it (in that they did succeed), I can watch movies or some program on television at night.
  • Replace my bags with baby bags or carrycot. My collection of bags continues to grow, although I no longer choose them small.
  • Stop reading the newspaper. I try, and I get it, several times a week.
  • Use a mini-cot. Luckily we do not buy it. We have not needed at any time.
