Many of them have scientific endorsement, others are the result of experiences and can also be used if they are harmless.

Pain relief is one of the factors that most influence the general state of the parturient, allowing, if they are effective and also have no contraindications or consequences, that the delivery occurs in the best possible way.

The sensation of pain It varies from one woman to another and also from one birth to another. This sensation is multicausal and it involves physiological, psychological and cultural factors. There are women who report barely painful births, in other cases, even if everything goes medically well, it can be overwhelming. The pain is respectable and its expression must be respected. The fear of childbirth or death, previous or received experiences, unnecessary interruptions in the intimacy of the moment can increase it. It can also influence the general physical condition and of course, the real medical complications, which is a separate case.
