Tegu, wooden blocks that join with magnets

We are used to seeing plastic building blocks to be embedded or the typical wooden blocks that are used to make constructions but do not join together. What I didn't know so far is something like Tegu, magnetic wooden blocks that are joined together by magnets. They have enchanted me.

They are made of beech wood and incorporate magnets, which allows not only to create structures upwards, but also significantly increases the possibilities of play. For this reason, because it contains small magnets, this toy is not recommended for children under three years.

Tegu It has three different sets, depending on the age of the children (and not so children). The Starter set, as the first contact with the construction system with magnetic hooks and probably the one we would buy from our kids, has 26 pieces in three different ways: cubes, short boards and long boards.

Then, the Original Set consists of 52 pieces in four different ways and there is a Limited Edition with the same number of pieces but made of mahogany wood.

The blocks are manufactured in Honduras and behind their manufacture and sale there is a sustainable initiative. For each toy sold, 12 trees are planted in that country or a school day is subsidized for a Honduran child.

At the moment, Tegu is sold only in the United States. They are looking for distributors in Europe and how to market toys worldwide. But stay tuned because we will surely see you soon in Spain.
