A six month old baby who is already walking

Most often, babies begin to take their first steps at some time between nine and fifteen months, however there are surprising exceptions such as a six month old British baby who is already walking.

Xavier King is a very early baby in his development, since according to the parents he was able to sit alone with only three months, when other babies barely hold his head, he took his first steps at six and now with seven newcomers he is already walking all over the house.

There are babies that like Xavier skip the crawling phase and start to stand up directly.

The crawling is a very beneficial evolutionary stage for the development of the baby, the previous natural phase that prepares the baby to stand up. That is why it is recommended to stimulate the crawling and not force the child to stand up early.

Apparently, Xavier's case does not seem to be that of a child forced to walk because the parents claim to have been very surprised to see their baby move on its own on both legs. "It's amazing when he gets up and puts one leg in front of another," says his mother.

The inconvenience that parents see to the new and early ability of their little one is the danger that a seven-month-old baby is supposed to travel freely throughout the house.

It is evident that Xavier goes ahead of the other children of his age. Walking early without help is one of the traits that characterize gifted children. It is likely that he is, since walking is the result of a maturation process that occurs in the gifted before the rest.

It would be necessary to see if in the future the child is also precocious for other abilities, or if walking ahead of time has only been a punctual fact in his development.
