How to relieve the discomfort of teething

  • Give a gentle massage with your finger on the gums.
  • Offer a teether toy, preferably cooled for a few hours in the fridge.

  • If the discomfort does not remit with these natural remedies and the doctor considers that some analgesic is needed, a dose of paracetamol or ibuprofen may be given. There are those who recommend massaging the gums directly with paracetamol, but it is preferable to consult with the pediatrician before.
  • If the fever and the discomfort are more, it is recommended to consult with the pediatrician because the discomfort is probably the cause of another problem.
