The first baby is born in France thanks to an ovarian tissue implant

Medical advances make possible realities that decades ago were impossible for people with fertility problems. We read the news that, for the first time in Europe, An ovarian tissue transplant has allowed a sterile woman to give birth to a baby.

The birth took place in France, at the Parly II-Le Chesnay Hospital in the Paris region, the girl's name is Victoria and she weighed 2,850 kilos at birth.

The mother, who suffers from Turner syndrome and has a twin sister, was able to conceive a girl after having undergone an ovarian transplant from her sister. Transplants between identical twins are simpler and successful because they don't need rejection treatment.

The French patient suffered from early menopause due to Turner syndrome, but few months after the transplant he regained his normal cycle and then she got pregnant naturally, without resorting to in vitro fertilization.

It is also the first time that such an intervention is carried out in Europe, although recently there have already been similar cases in the United States.

I find it a miracle to achieve these challenges that give people the possibility of having children for whom it would be impossible a few years ago. And research continues in this regard, seeking new techniques and improvements for fertility problems and artificial fertilization processes.

The news of first baby born thanks to an ovarian tissue transplant It will give hope to many women with fertility problems, although this case is very specific because they are twin sisters.
