Alquilibrix: rent textbooks instead of buying them

Gone are those times when books passed from hand to hand and from brother to brother, to the point that you went to school with a book full of notes and notes because it had already been used.

For some time now the theme of textbooks has been changing and updating annually, making inheritance or loan almost impossible, and having to make large disbursements families every September.

To alleviate this situation a bit there is an initiative that I found quite interesting, called Alquilibrix, which enables rent textbooks, both new and used.

Alquilibrix It serves mainly in Madrid, where in addition to renting books, it buys used books from those customers who are going to rent them for this year. Between what a family saves with rent and what is discounted with the books it sells you can save up to 90% of the total cost That would mean buying them new.

In the rest of Spain, through the Internet, books can also be rented, with savings of about 50% (they don't buy books online because their status cannot be assessed).

The disadvantage of this system is that at the end of the year you have to return them, leaving the child without "his" textbooks. I say disadvantage because many of us kept the books, in case at any time we wanted to refresh something we had studied the previous year.

However, given that in most cases the floors we live in are smaller than those of our parents, the space to store things "just in case" is smaller. If we add to this that we now have the Internet, a huge source of information (to define it in some way), the act of "I'm going to see what my book last year said about ..." can be easily solved by doing a search in a few seconds . That is the disadvantage is no longer such (and it is less so in my case, that I kept the books and then never looked at them).

So you know, if you are shaking because you have to buy the children's books, Alquilibrix It offers the possibility of renting them, spending less money on it.
