As parents, we try to make our home a safe place, aware of the large number of accidents that occur in your breast. The CareSOS Project is part of the “With Greater Care” Campaign that the MAPFRE Foundation has been developing in Spain and Latin America for several years.
It is an educational program designed by Mapfre with the collaboration of the Spanish Society of Family and Community Medicine (SEMFYC), which aims to promote the accident prevention in childhood in the domestic and school environment.
It focuses on the adoption of safe and responsible behaviors, involving the family and educators as fundamental pillars in the education of minors, with the intention of providing society with tools that help them move towards an improvement in the preventive culture.
We talked about this project some time ago and today we wanted to highlight the manual for families and schoolchildren that we found on the web, a entertaining and interesting educational material. The material is available in Spanish and English and has been developed by pedagogues, educators and security experts. It is characterized by being innovative, efficient and flexible, with sections that differentiate:
- Fire and evacuations (home evacuation, emergency list ...).
- The home (toys at home, risk control ...).
- Home accidents (blows, drowning, burns, poisoning, first aid ...).
The three blocks contain a section of Activities aimed at understanding and detecting deficiencies in the home, which in most cases can be easily solved.
