Writing a diary can be a good experience for children.

When a child gets in front of the blank pages of his diary, is ready to express emotions, download tensions, reflect the events that mark it and clarify the concepts it intends to reflect. Many children, including mine, use writing or painting to "talk about what they want, feel and think."

In some films the fact of writing a diary is trivialized, and yet for many people it is more important than you think, since it is a very valuable tool for communication. One of the implicit advantages of making a newspaper is get some privacy or privacy that is sometimes difficult to get inside the home, is something that all children look for (especially after age eight). That is why parents should not "invade" their private writings unless they want to share them or suspect serious problems without apparent cause.

For our part we can provide a small notebook for the child to write down, draw or paste what he thinks is convenient, we will tell him that it is his diary and that he can write things about his friends, the places he visits or the visit to the grandparents. On the other hand there will always be an affordable place at home to store a case with pencils and colors to capture everything they want.

Nowadays, expression should not be limited to a notebook and a pencil, since all those who have communicative concerns have a fantastic tool on the Internet that allows them to develop intellectual and technological skills. Now there are children who have their own blog, and who produce their own photographs and videos. But the intimate component of the daily classic is nothing else that provides it, and sometimes we just need to see our thoughts reflected to acquire another perspective.

The diary is also a literary genre whose rules are only the ones you decide. For children it should not become an obligation since it is not, so we will limit ourselves to suggesting “what these pages can reflect”

Plans for the future, problems with friends, letters of apology, unclear illusions, the design of a new robot, are just examples of what kids can write in their diaries

As a benefit they will obtain the development of the imagination, the acquisition of a broad vocabulary, the improvement in spelling, the expression of feelings and the knowledge of themselves. Writing a diary can be a good experience.
