The Irene Megías Foundation against Meningitis has presented a free application for iPhone and Android phones that aims to help diagnose the disease. In addition, the program allows you to locate the nearest hospital and the most direct access route in case you need to go quickly.
The application is very simple, intuitive, free and works on all Apple devices. And it is that those responsible for its creation and dissemination have indicated that 75 percent of fatal cases could be avoided with an early diagnosis. And that is what the application aims to, prevent, discard and make quick decisions in case of doubt.
I have downloaded the application and it has several cases to diagnose and help make a decision on the part of the parents or the child himself. In addition, contact, telephone and mobile options are included in the menu. It also has links to social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Tuenti or YouTube where you can see more valuable content built by the Irene Megías Foundation. They have videos on YouTube, which are hooked from the application, and enrich the application with additional content.
The application tries to raise public awareness about the effects of meningitis and offers support to both patients and their families.
