How to safely use baby hammocks

A couple of days ago we told you that the Consumer Products Safety Commission of the United States together with the Fisher-Price brand issued a safety notice on the use of the model of Rock'n Play rocking hammock, after ten babies died since 2015 because the hammock has turned over.

This may make us think that these types of baby products are not safe, but the brand ensures that it meets all safety standards and remembers the importance of using correctly, both this and any other hammock for young children.

Hammocks and baby rockers, are they necessary?

As with other childcare items, some parents will tell you that it has been an item they have barely used and others that are the best purchase they have made.

The hammocks are basically a transportable chair with a slightly inclined backrest where to place the baby who still does not feel alone. Some include the function of automatic balancing, vibration and even melodies to favor the baby's sleep.

They have a padded backrest and have a safety harness so that the baby is safe while he can from there look at everything around him. It has the advantage that it can be taken to different rooms or to places away from home such as the terrace, the garden or the beach. Many babies sleep there naps is fully inclined or semi-inclined position, depending on the positions that the product has.

Some have head reducers and to place under when the baby is still very small, and to make him feel more comfortable and avoid being too "sunk" in the hammock, and that are removed as it grows.
