Forests made with Lego blocks in Australia

Lego Forest in Broken Hill

It was not easy to introduce LEGO toys in Australia, because when John Peddie arrived in this island in the early 1960s, children were not accustomed to entertaining themselves at home with construction pieces. Nowadays is the first brand in toy sales in the country.

50 years have passed and the LEGO Festival of Play has been launched, which is a kind of itinerant exhibition that among other activities is planting Lego block forests (very large size) in different locations. The last sample has been seen in Broken Hill, an example of the so-called Australian 'outback', and belonging to one of those remote and semi-deserted areas, in which the few fertile places are used for livestock and mining.

The 'Festival of Play' arrived in this country of Oceania with a touch of celebration leading four meter tall pines and flowers whose size is 66 times larger than the original pieces.

This amazing forest was already in Sydney, and since last Thursday continues its itinerary throughout the island.
