Thus grows the daughter of the European parliamentarian Licia Ronzulli, who continues to reconcile at work

The first image of this succession of photographs went around the world, and we also talked about it on the blog: European parliamentarian Licia Ronzulli went to work with her newborn baby. It's been a few years, and Lycian's daughter continues to grow in the European Parliament, as these images show.

The MEP went to Parliament for the first time when her daughter was only a month and a half old, and it was because there was a vote she wanted to participate in, I imagine that as part of her responsibility to the citizens who voted for her party. There he took his baby in a scarf.

To me I love seeing this woman with her daughter at work, for the example he gives and because I would have liked to do it (although with them somewhat older, because I was on leave as long as I could). I imagine that he will not have taken it every day since then, but on some occasions like those captured by these photographs.

I am not a deputy and my job as a teacher is difficult to do with a baby in the classroom. But if I were her and I didn't have to be talking and attending to the students, I would have taken my daughters on more than one occasion.

And more if it is to push a button in a vote, although honestly for that I would prefer not to have to move from home if I am in my maternity leave. And it is not impossible, with current technology, as was demonstrated years ago in the case of a Spanish policy. The baby and the mother thanked him, sure. And in Spain distance voting is already allowed in these cases.

By the way, apart from seeing how the children of the MEPs grow, we would like to see the same thing from time to time in their case, the parents. Surely they are perfectly capable of taking their children (and I do not mean newborns who are going to be better with the mother who breastfeeds them) to Parliament.

We said it a while ago, we want to know how men reconcile and that not only women be news on this issue. That they "presume" children, that they claim as mothers, for them, for us, and above all, for the children.

And we also wish that the word “reconcile” is not meaningless and that real measures that make maternity (and paternity) not at odds with work. And that not only affect politicians, that the rest of society will also appreciate it in their work.
