They are times when they have to face feelings of sadness, denial, anger or frustration

According to data from DOWN SPAIN, approximately 9 out of 10 families decide to terminate the pregnancy when the diagnosis reveals that the child has Down syndrome. Many times the decision is motivated by fear and ignorance of the abilities of these children, for not having had contact with people with this disability or not having gone to associations that could have supported and advised them at this decisive moment in their lives.

In My son Down there a section dedicated to the 'new parents', another with information about the stages of childhood of a person with Down Syndrome, a section to know the associations, and finally some recommendations to professionals.
