Children's fascination with sharks and detailed infographics to learn

Since we saw the movie Shark In the 80s we have not stopped learning and watching extraordinary reports and documentaries about these water hunters. Although the most surprising and the one that fascinates us the most I dare to say that it is the White shark, an absolute predator that is fascinating also for the little ones.

To access the information of these animals now that we have Internet is simple although there are specialized jobs, care and that deserve our attention as are the infographics that are published in paper newspapers and that are also being transferred to the digital world with applications that allow them to enjoy them taking advantage of the Internet and the capabilities of mobile devices.

Be infographist It is a current profession and I think it will continue to be in the future. One of the most important creators of this type of content, which combines graphics, documentation, visualization and design, is Alberto Cairo, who from his blog, the functional Art, performs an extraordinary dissemination work to learn more about the art of presenting information in an understandable, simple and also beautiful way. And it is that about communication, there is a lot to work with children because they have to improve it, so maybe you could work with content such as infographics in a simple way in which art, simplicity and message prevail.

In one of the articles in the @AlbertoCairo blog I have found the examples made by his students about sharks and that has been made using this page as a support, Great White Sharks (the great white sharks) that is full of videographic content (I recommend seeing the video although it is very explicit) and of data and figures on sharks obtained in South African waters in a work led by the University of Miami.

Alberto says that although the works are extraordinary, he comments that his students have been learning for three months, he believes they still have a path of improvement. They remind me of these works that I saw as a child in the newspaper that my father bought or bought me (a lot of that) and that Alberto also indicated in his blog. This is a spectacular infographic about the right whale that was published in the Clarín newspaper 20 years ago and created by Jaime Serra, currently director of infographics at La Vanguardia.

I am still fascinated by this way of using the medium to display information while learning while having fun and enjoying a beauty similar to a work of art.
