The theme parks of Europe are a destination full of attractions for families

Although in Europe the leader is Disney With its more than 15 million visitors in 2012, there are other theme parks in the old European continent full of attractions and leisure for the whole family. For example, Port Aventura has been placed in number six of the ranking of the 20 most visited European parks. Its number of visitors is consolidated above 3.5 million thanks to its attraction management, its good location with multiple accesses, its use of the summer and winter seasons and its commitment to the international tourist that has passed be 35% of the occupation and with plans to reach 50% soon.

And its attraction Shambhala, expedition to the Himalayas It offers a roller coaster of 76 meters, with a fall of 78 meters and a speed of 134 km / h. The Theme Parks are very sensitive to the awards to their attractions for the tremendous media impact that it has among fans and Shambhala has been awarded as the best attraction of 2012. They also have attractions for kids like Sesame Adventure and in October they offer a lot of options to enjoy a great Halloween.

Other parks in Europe full of attraction and that we have commented on Peques and Más in much detail because we have been able to visit them, have been the park of Puy Du Fou and Futuroscope. And it is that France with five theme parks, two of them the most visited, can boast of offering a wide range of leisure activities in Europe. The Puy Du Fou and Futuroscope are joined by Disney Land Paris, with two centers, and the Parc Asterix.

The one I enjoyed the most, for its great execution of attractions, is Puy Du Fou that 2012 reached 1.6 million visitors, growing 7% compared to the previous year. Its combination of spectacular, familiar attractions with a great sense of rhythm and spectacle and looking for sustainability I have always found an example to follow. If visitors also increase it seems that the model has a lot of travel.

As you can see in the image, in Europe has reached 58 million visitors in 2012, a flat evolution compared to 2011 penalized by the economic crisis in the euro zone and the bad weather in the summer months of 2012. Still there are many parks that grow, for example Eurodisney 1.9%, Parc Asterix a 8 % or Puy Du Fou 7%.

The study shows that the Theme Parks are an attractive destination for families that demand our attention for the full range of leisure, catering, accommodation, transportation and knowledge of the destination country.
