Is called The Spirit of Magic, premieres in Madrid and although the script is developed in English, it is visual enough that all attendees, regardless of their level, understand and enjoy the story. The representation is dynamic, participatory and fun for the whole family.
The Magic of English It is a creation of an avant-garde theater group formed by magicians, actors and experts in English Philology with experience in the school environment. The Spirit of Magic It is an educational activity adapted for children from 3 to 12 years.
The play features Tom, a curious and brave boy who finds an old magic book in the attic. Tomo is encouraged to get the tricks he reads but does not stop failing because he does not know the essence of magic. When the Spirit of Magic appears the protagonist will learn to know the secrets to be a magician.
As described by the artists of the Avercleo company, the work is structured for all ages and levels. The story has a screenwriter who describes what happens in the play, this narrator has a high level of English and uses many grammatical structures and generous vocabulary. Meanwhile on the stage you can see the characters working and using simpler vocabulary and structures for all children who have a more basic level. The actors interpret and describe all the actions so that the story is perfectly understood even if the language is not known. In addition, and seeing the image of the work, it seems that humor is very present in the performance.

The play can be seen at the Liberarte Theater every Sunday at 12:30 until December 15 included. The representation lasts 60 minutes and is priced at 10 euros. It seems that it does not differentiate prices between adults and children, nor does it mention anything of large families.
I really like artists performing Proposals for children using the English language. And I fear that for them the future will require them to speak in English in Spain and in other countries where they will have to go to work. It seems to me that this proposal will not stop growing and we will see more and more initiatives of this type. What I hope is that soon they start to screen films in English for children also in theaters, I think it would be very successful and the kids would take advantage of that learning in a remarkable way.
