Öbjek Treasure Basket

A few years ago, a few months after I was born, my oldest son talked to a co-worker about our work, that is, our children. She, as the mother of a girl older than mine and therefore a mother with more experience, told me about the different phases my son was going to go through. I remember that one of the things that he recommended to me because his daughter did very well, she was also recommended by a friend, was to build a "treasure box". One that? Isn't it a bit early to go playing pirates? No, she told me. It is a box where you put everyday objects, a brush, an old towel, a ball, a plastic box, a bottle, things that are normally in your house and that you normally use. Let the baby explore everything inside the box and be done with everyday life while playing.

Well, you have that treasure chest now in a pack, without having to search the house for an object that you can undo or take months to collect a large collection of objects. Öbjek presents his treasure basket.

From Öbjek they have selected a set of 25 simple and everyday objects, of different sizes made of different materials except for plastic, it seems that these boys do not like this material and it seems phenomenal to me. So we can find spoons and metal chains, objects made of cloth, natural objects such as shells, mineral spheres and marine sponges (thus leaving us alone), we will also find objects made of wood such as tweezers and spoons, all very well finished and selected and that is aimed at babies from 4 to 14 months.

How is it used?

The objects of the chest are designed so that the baby can experiment with everyday objects and learn by playing, you can touch them, suck them, bite them and pound things with them (well, this is just an idea. Now if that each one sees the number of decibels which is able to bear).

If your baby does not move yet, we can leave certain objects in the chest at your fingertips so you can experiment and others a little further so that your innate curiosity will help you little by little and make you see that perhaps moving around yourself may be worthwhile. .

If the baby is already able to move on his own, it will be enough for us to leave the chest within reach so that he can choose which objects he wants to investigate.

What did I like?

That is a very complete set in every way. Being a set of disparate objects the baby does not get tired in five minutes and looks for something else, but even if he is tired of an object or this does not seem interesting, (who does it seem interesting a piece of felt?) Would not be a problem because there are still a lot of objects to investigate. It is designed for the baby to play freely without being disturbed or rhythms marked, he decides what he wants and when he wants it. We will become mere observers or reaffirmers of our children's game, yes honey yes, it is a spoon. How pretty! (Do not tell me that they are not happy that they have never been filmed when they put that voice) They have neither batteries nor speakers Familiarize the baby with real objects that can be found anywhere. We can add our own objects to the chest. The materials, wood, metal and fabrics, avoiding plastic objects (although a couple of them would put).

We did not like

Its price, I see something high for the times and is not available to all budgets. While it must be said that not using plastic makes the product more expensive.
