Smarter kids with fish oil supplements

According to a study carried out in the United Kingdom by Imperial College London, including supplements with fish oil in the children's diet and reducing the intake of foods containing fats and soft drinks makes them smarter.

Scientists according to the news are amazed at the results of the study, which show that the brains of the four children between the ages of 8 and 13 who participated, developed in three months the equivalent of three years. Resulting in considerable improvements in reading, concentration, memory and the ability to solve problems

The supplement given to children who participated in the study is called VegEPA, which contains a combination of omega 3 and omega 6.

Moreover, for the scientists these results are an important evidence of the damage that junk food is doing to British children.

The indicator used to measure brain development is called NAA (N-Acetylaspartate). And a high level of NAA indicates that more nerve connections are growing in the brain.

An interesting study that also confirms the importance of being attentive to the feeding of our children.
