The best children's films: 'Finding Nemo'

'Finding Nemo' is another of the crown jewels of Disney / Pixar to which we approach in this review the best children's films.

Was a success absolute in 2003 reaping not only a large collection, but also monopolizing prizes as important as the Oscar for best animated film, in addition to three other nominations.

It was the animated film of the year, directed by Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich and turning Nemo, the little fish protagonist, into an unforgettable character for a generation of children. And as adults, because the movie is one that comes deep and it's hard not to empathize with Nemo.

What counts

The beautiful story of 'Finding Nemo' takes us to the magical underwater world where we meet the young Nemo, the only son whose father is eager to train and educate him correctly. The father's effort to protect him is not very reciprocated by Nemo who in an act of rebellion and mischief ends up captured in an Australian reef.

From there we move his particular adventure of separation from the family home to a fish tank in Sydney, from a dentist, along with other characters. His father will have to undertake the search for Nemo and his rescue, although while dangers appear, Nemo and his new friends propose a clever escape plan and return to the sea.

We like it because ...

Nemo's story is vibrant from the first minute. Set in that aquatic world, we immerse ourselves with the characters in marine life, which is wonderfully recreated by the magicians of Disney / Pixar animation.

It is a thrilling adventure, emotional, which has a great visual recreation, but beyond, it turns out to have a captivating narrative. A wonderful story that passes in a sigh and with which a great joy and imagination is spread.

'Finding Nemo' is a work extremely smart, each ingredient is measured to the millimeter to convey that emotion of good cinema. I would highlight above the excellent design of characters, something that Pixar manages to nail with genius, and also an extraordinary soundtrack.

Values transmitted by 'Finding Nemo'

We stumble upon an exciting story of friendship. But the film contains much more interesting values to contribute to the smallest viewers. As the value of force, the overcoming, the effort, but also the love of family, unconditional love and, of course, the effort to overcome all difficulties.

Although Nemo with his malformation in a fin seems very innocent and helpless, thanks to his adventure with other characters, he lives a process of maturation. In this process, courage, understanding, commitment, solidarity and trust emerge, also in itself in order to return to his father.

Recommended from 3-4 years

The little ones will enjoy with Nemo and the aquatic world, although from four years is when they can begin to value the story in full, knowing how to understand the adventure.

Although it has sad moments, presence of characters that embody evil, in general it's a very exciting movie and with which the little ones manage to connect easily feeling very attracted to the little fish and its friends.

Being a great success and so popular you can find different versions on DVD and Blu-ray, from the simplest to commemorative with extra content for the smallest fans of Nemo. A movie absolutely recommended to see with family and with which they will see them get excited.
