When the kids of my generation wanted to know more about a movie, we had to wait until there was a television channel, one of the two there was! to put a documentary or a report with information from the director, actors, anecdotes, etc. Another option was to go to a mall and take a look at the books that were published about the film with actors' data, footage of the shoot and interviews. You could also buy a newspaper and hope that there would be luck to see a report about the movie.
Now, our children, and in general everyone who wants to know more information about a movie have a lot of options to discover more content. In addition to the Internet, television networks, newspaper reports (paper and digital), you can use the iBooks application on the iPad to access multimedia content.
This is what Disney has done with the free iTunes publication of the work, "Frankenweenie: an Electrifying Book" (an electrifying book). In this work, which we have looked through and that requires a lot of time to be enjoyed, you can access images of the filming of Frankenweenie, the information of the characters, videos with exclusive content, the moments of creation and execution of the movie. There are beautiful photos, images, interviews, music, 3D models and much more.
We were at the Conde Duque Center in Madrid to see the Frankenweenie exhibition that Macarena had anticipated and we couldn't see her! The exhibition is a success of the public and the demand for maximum access. So we will settle for this book created to be enjoyed on iBooks. With the book we can, in the same way as if we went to the exhibition, access the creative process of Tim Burton and observe the evolution of his work from the sketch to the screen.
