Echología is an experience to discover water, heritage and enjoy ecology in Western France

Peques y Más has attended the presentation of the options for travel to western France in 2013 and within the wide offer, much of it already commented on the blog, we have loved the proposal for the whole family of Echologia.

It is an old lime quarries completely rehabilitated that offer visitors a relaxing and fun space of 70 hectares in which water, heritage and ecology coexist in harmony. In 2013 you can already enjoy accommodation and restoration and in subsequent years sustainable agricultural activities will be incorporated.

The fundamental objective of the project EcH2Ology It is to consider the human being as an eco-citizen and responsible future of the planet, that is why it places visitors in the heart of nature to enjoy and live it.

Echologia is a project of Guillaume Beucher and Vincent Brault that together with a team of more than 100 people are working to carry out their project. And since both were young they had the feeling that those old quarries could be rehabilitated and become a project of a sustainable nature.

Of course This proposal takes into account children and offers an educational and intelligent tourism explaining how it is possible to build, live and produce in a natural environment. The space was inaugurated at the end of 2012 after 40 years of space abandonment and travelers will be able to find Canadian shops, canoes, cabins, playgrounds, activities such as climbing, scuba diving and many more.

This project has won the Responsible Tourism Trophies in the category of animations and solidarity activities. Initially it is offering 25 atypical accommodations in a small paradise although it is expected to grow and increase its capacity.

Echologia is 3 kilometers from Laval, a French municipality located in the department of Mayenne and in the Pays de la Loire region, in western France.
