The Aladina Foundation recalls the importance of breastfeeding in the health of babies

These days the World Breast Milk Donation Day and the Aladina Foundation has shot an ad with the chef Pepe Rodríguez, juror of Masterchef, in order to convey the importance that it is for premature babies or sick newborns to be fed with breast milk. The exciting video can be seen below although it is also on the Aladina Foundation website.

From the Aladina Foundation they are very proud to have made possible the expansion of the Regional Breast Milk Bank at the Hospital 12 de Octubre in Madrid, which will serve all the Neonatology Units of public hospitals in Madrid and will cover the nutritional needs of all premature babies or sick newborns who cannot be breastfed by their own mothers. The reform has been fully funded by the Foundation and has been made possible by the generosity of a donor, MGU, which has requested the foundation that its contribution be entirely allocated to the creation of the milk bank. Paco Arango, president and founder of Aladina, and whom we already know in Peques y Más, stresses that “for a Foundation that is dedicated to helping children suffering from cancer, it is a great joy to be able to collaborate with a project that fortifies the health of a life that starts".

We recall that numerous medical studies underline the great benefits of breast milk as protection against infections in addition to promoting the development of the immune system, so the importance of being able to receive premature babies and sick newborns.

We remember that the Aladina Foundation It is a private non-profit organization created in 2005, which provides comprehensive, material, psychological and emotional support to children and adolescents suffering from cancer and their families. Each year, the foundation helps more than 1,200 children and families recover their smile. With its various support programs and its team of volunteers in hospitals, Aladina gives special importance to all kinds of recreational therapies. Through them, children and adolescents learn to adapt to their situation and disease without losing joy and keeping alive the desire to heal.
