"The journey of the stowaway", solidarity stories about childhood cancer

In a few days it is World Day Against Childhood Cancer, and although we will return to the subject today we wanted to highlight an editorial novelty that has just seen the light. "The Journey of the Polizón" is a solidarity book on childhood cancer, a compilation of stories by several writers and illustrators who have participated selflessly.

The book is published by Epic Worlds Editorial Group and its benefits will go to the Association of Parents of Children with Cancer (Aspanion), to increase the guarantees of survival and quality of life of sick children, as well as their families, main priorities of this group for 25 years.

Prologued by the popular presenter, Pablo Motos, has the participation of 25 writers among which are prominent names of children's and youth literature such as Laura Gallego, Manuel Gisbert or Jordi Sierra i Fabra. His stories and stories have been illustrated by great artists.

We can take a look at the first pages (fundamentally, the different prologues and thanks, which give us an idea of the rationale of the publication with two pages of the first story), from here. According to Andrés García, one of the authors and coordinator of "The journey of the stowaway",

The title aims to reflect that trip that we make all the people we read since, in a way, we are also stowaways. We sneak into other stories. But, in addition, we also wanted to play a little with the title referring to that journey made by children with cancer, to which it is directed especially. They travel in a boat they don't want to go in, trying to sneak like stowaways into another boat to try to change their destiny.

"The journey of the stowaway", the solidarity stories about childhood cancer, are aimed at readers from 10 years and their families, although I would say to anyone because their stories are intended to make us dream and to help those who certainly need it most. It costs about 12 euros.
